DALMAC '96 - 5 Day East Route

Report by Ed Noonan 9/96

In 1995, I rode the DALMAC Quint Century (5 days/500 miles).Having ridden more than 5,000 miles this year before the DALMAC ride, I opted for a new more liesurely 5 day East Route. The ride was wonderful. Instead of beating myself to death for 5 days, I relaxed and enjoyed Michigan and my Tri-County Bicycle Association companions.

This was by far the best weather I've ever experienced on DALMAC. It was sunny and between 80° and 85° (f) every day and cool at night. There were no significant headwinds and no construction to ride through. What more could anybody want?
