March 12

Annual MHPVA meeting, held this year at the Ann Arbor REI store Community Room (in the back of the store). The REI Ann Arbor store is located at 970 West Eisenhower Parkway which is just northeast of the Ann Arbor-Saline Road exit of I-94.

Noon to 1:00 pm, show-and-tell, including a 'buying your first recumbent' presentation at 12:30. Wolverbent meeting at 1:00, followed by MHPVA meeting.

April 30 Calvin's Challenge 12-hour bike race.
May 14 Michigan Recumbent Rally East - Willow Metropark (southwest Detroit area), hosted by Wolverbents  (free to ride, fee for park motor vehicle entry)
June 11 10,000 Meter T-Shirt Ride, hosted by TCBA. 25K, 50K, and 100K routes. Open to all. Great recumbent course.
June 11, 12 Recumbent Racing!!! Michigan Human Powered Vehicle Association HPRA Rally - Waterford Sportsman's Club , Clarkston, Michigan (between Detroit and Flint,) just off I-75. (fee to race, free to watch)
July 31 Black Bear Bicycle Tour One day, 100 miles from Grayling to Oscoda MI. This is a 'personal best' ride, with timing chips and a separate recumbent class.
August 21 Assenmacher100 starting at Assenmacher's Bike Shop in Schwartz Creek, MI. 20, 32, 52, 62, and 100 mile routes. Flat to rolling.
Aug 31 to Sept 4 DALMAC 2011 - An annual, recumbent-friendly tour, from Lansing to Mackinaw. Check the DALMAC message board and enter early.  Registration opens in mid-February. (fee, no DOE entries)
Sept 25 Apple Cider Century - Three Oaks, Michigan. There's a little bit of everything on this ride.
October 14-16 44th annual Hilly Hundred - Who says recumbents can't climb? Not us. Hilly features two days of riding and almost 10,000 feet of climbing in the glacial moraines of southern Indiana. (fee, no DOE entries)
