Welcome to the Mabel League!

The Mabel League was established in Vancouver, B.C. Canada in 1990. We are the largest Women's D Division Fastpitch league in Western Canada. We are a lesbian league which fosters a safe & fun environment for lesbians, bisexual and heterosexual women, transgender, and transsexual people to play recreational softball.

Each year we have our first Team Rep meeting in February and games beginning in mid April. New players are accepted each year until the end of May, although available spots in teams may be filled up before then. New teams should contact the league before March. If you'd like to join a team in the Mabel League and want your name added to a list of available players for all teams to have access to, email the registrar with your name, contact information and level of playing ability.

Registration for all players must be in accordance with the rules & regulations of The Mabel League Constitution and Softball BC. For more information, visit the Softball BC website or phone 604-531-0044.

Forfeits

If you are forfeiting a game you must email the UIC and Statistician and you must either call or email the other team rep you were to play, the winning team must report the win the score will be 7-0. Please give 24 hour notice prior to game time.

March's challenge

Thank you to all teams and participants in: Mabel's Monthly Eco-Challenge!  March's challenge was to replace your home light bulbs with Energy Efficient Bulbs. We had many individuals scoring top points for this challenge and chose 3 names from a hat for prizes!

APRIL'S CHALLENGE: Recycle It! Recycle all products at home with a goal of producing no more than 1 kitchen-sized bag of garbage a week

Prior to our next meeting on May 12, your Team Rep will be asking you about your participation in this challenge for the month of April.  You will earn points based on your success rates. 

Each month we will tally points and award prizes to the individual(s) that were the most successful in curbing climate change through this challenge.  At the end of the season we will also be awarding a grand prize ($200 MyTreat Visa from Vancity)  to the top team!
