Sail Grand Traverse Bay on the Manitou, June 9, 2026

How about a sunset cruise on the Tall Ship Manitou on Grand Traverse Bay? As an additional experience while in Traverse City for NorthWest Tour, join a group of us on the Manitou on Tuesday, June 9.

Reservations begin April 1, 2026 by calling (231)941-2000 or online at tallshipsailing.com. You are responsible for making your own reservations and dock arrival by 6:00 pm for the 6:30-8:00 sailing
Cost: $60

There is limited food available on the ship, but you are welcome to bring your own food (excluding beverages and coolers). There is an onboard cash bar. They will sail in light rain but will cancel if stormy or lightning in the area, with a full refund. They strongly encourage you to register on April 1st or soon thereafter, and you can cancel within 72 hours with a full refund. Check their website for more information. tallshipsailing.com

  • Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is rich in history from early Anishinaabek cultures to the shipping, logging, and agricultural heritage of the area. Even the name of the area comes from the Anishinaabek Story of Sleeping Bear.

  • NWT gives you a bang for your buck. You can't take a five day vacation in TC for less. Area hotels average in June range from $150 - $447 per night (and that’s before meals).
