North Park Campground is a 5-minute walk to the Lake Huron shoreline. It’s great! A sandy beach within a protected breakwater is an easy two-mile paved trail away. Bring the kids.
Every day will start and end at the North Park Campground. Set up your tent once and break camp once when it’s all over.
Daily routes will be 25 to 75 miles each day. The Thumb has easy, level country roads and wide shoulders on higher-volume roads.
Ride Your Own Story. Because every day will begin and end at North Park Campground, you can ride anywhere any day. Off-route. Gravel. Off-road. Anywhere.
SAG support will always be just a phone call away, wherever you are.
Catered meals, included in your fee, start with Wednesday supper. SummerTour provides breakfasts and suppers. You’ll find lunch on your own while you’re out riding. Meals are Wednesday dinner through Sunday breakfasts and served in the pavilion at the campground.
Included in the basic fee are tent camping facilities, route maps, SAG service, and meals.
SummerTour has great discounts for your children and tons of fun things to do. We don’t know the 2026 kids’ schedule, but past years included special kids’ rides, Lake Huron beach trips, river rafting, bike rodeos, feeding calves, water balloons and more.
Some events need the grownups to come, too. Everyone has a blast!
Cute resort towns. Kayaking and canoeing rentals. Kayak to “Turnip Rock” 33 museums. 17 beaches. Quilt shops. Huron County Nature Center. “Music by the Beach” in Harbor Beach Friday nights. Fishing piers. Farmers markets and wine tasting. On a clear night, you can see lighthouses in Canada. Shipwreck diving. Shipwreck Distillery. Charter fishing. Petroglyphs. Octagonal barn. Live theater. Lighthouses in Harbor Beach, Port Austin Reef and Pointe Aux Barques.
Or come to SummerTour and don’t ride! Enjoy our catered breakfasts and suppers and do the great stuff in our great location. Some do!
